Lingayen Beach


This is Lingayen beach where the American forces landed during WWII to take back the Philippines out of the hands of the Japanese. We had picture of it during the dry season, it looks much better with some green.

There is an open display area just south of this picture where the story of the invasion of US forces took place. They have posters, pictures of the era and memorabilia from then as well. It was very interesting reading about all the things that happened right here and even an air field that the US forces built to land supplies close to the field f operation.

Here are little ramadas for people to picnic.

More picnic areas here, Lingayen is the capital of Pangansinan (that is the name of the province or state as we would know it)
